Book Club Suggestions for August 26th

So last night was a bit of a gong show; we didn't really discuss the book OR movie as there was just too much else going on. I've got a couple three changes I am debuting:

1) Dropping the Social - we have one every day now, so it doesn't have to be at the same time as book club. Pop by anytime, someone's on!

2) New day of the week: Tuesday - we do Bookie Wook Watches posts, and we haven't found anything cool yet on Tuesdays. Pop by for any of the BWW posts, The Strain on Sunday and Big Brother throughout the week is always fun

3) Starting at 6 pm MTN time (8:00 SteamyTime aka Central) instead of 6:30

So, now we need suggestions!  I have to warn you, I just unpacked a BUNCH of books that have been in storage for 2 years, so I will be throwing some out there. Every one try to think of at least one, okay!

Next date is August 19th, let's go with some light summer reading,  alrighty? Awesome!

Suggestions in comment y'all! Two days for that, I will put up a voting post on Wednesday and a winner declared by next Friday. Yay!

Bachelorette Finale!

Which one will she chose? Will she be asked at ALL?

July 27 Book Club Meet: Book and Movie Suggestions

I know. It's summer. Like really summer, not almostsummer or endofsummer but Really Summer, so I thought I'd push the book club meet back a week and give us a little more time.

We had a GREAT meet this last time, but I think my choice of a 725 page book led to another learning: let's stick to books under 300 pages. I know, the longer ones are more Impressive and Meaningful,  but we all know how brilliant we all are already, let's keep it to something readable by everyone in the alotted time.

The Social totally rocked! Everyone has to keep coming to that, it's every Sunday night now. We also have good morning posts for anyone who just wants to pop in for a visit. If you have a suggestion for a post, please post in a comment, or my email is on my profile.

So! Suggest away! I need as many book and movie choices as possible,  newbies, I want all your choices! The more voices the better, I want to hear all your points of view! Typically the movie choice can be a book / movie, as in a movie made from a book.

I'll leave this up for a couple of days, then put up a voting one and then will post the selection.

Thanks, y'all!
