What do we do when we do it to our skin? Any recipes or product suggestions? Post here!

  1. Would you like to know your skin type?
Here is a simple test that can help you discover what your skin regimen might be right for you.
    1.Wash your face.
2.Hang out for an hour without touching your face. Watch a show, get on your computer, read a book, or relax during this time.
3.Check out your t-zone and your nose and the area surrounding your nose.
4.Determine from looking at these areas where your skin type falls.

    • Normal skin shows neither oil nor flaking skin. It should feel supple and smooth. ***Go YOU***
    • Oily skin is characterized by the grease on the tissue. It is also common for a person with oily skin to have large pores and a shine.
    • Dry skin may feel taut or show flakes of dead skin. It is associated with small pores. Moisturizing is important for this skin type.
    • Combination skin is most common. It exhibits traits of all three of the above skin types. Usually, the skin is oily in the T-zone and normal to dry elsewhere.

*************Orvi's Favorite Tea Tree Face Wash*******************

I love this face wash. This potion is perfect for combination skin and oily skin. If you have sensitive skin you should cut back on the drops of tea tree oil and aloe gel.

1/4 cup liquid Castile soap (I use the peppermint castile soap. Works well with my skin and I love the fragrance)

1- 2 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin or 1- tablespoon of glycerin

2 tablespoons of aloe gel or aloe vera

5-10 drops of tea tree oil

1 to 1 1/2 cup water (if you have sensitive skin use more water in your mixture)

Mix and shake shake shake it up. I reuse old bottles and jars for storing. This mixture will last for several months. Make sure if you leave it idle for awhile that you shake it for usage.
